Our Background
The Willington Youth Club was initially constituted as the Willington Action Group we are more commonly known as the Youth Club as this better reflects our operations and aspirations.
The club was formed in 2010, we meet at the Old School Buildings on the Castleway in Willington.
The Club welcomes children 8 to 12 years old at weekly meetings at 6:30 to 8:00 on a Wednesday evening, we regularly have more than thirty young people attend our weekly sessions.
The Club organises a range of sporting and artistic activities, these have included pottery, netball, falconry, encaustic art, cooking, football, cricket, table games, roller skating, painting, card creation and street dancing.
The club welcomes volunteers who can help out on a regular, or ad hoc, basis and individuals who can demonstrate sporting, social or artistic skills to our members.
The club also welcomes donations of unwanted table top games (air hockey, snooker, table football etc.) that can be used by the members at our meetings.
